Wow! If you like tasty 50's rock and roll and blues, this cd has a generous helping. Songs are clever and arrangements include everything on the menu - orchestra with horns, electric guitar, drums, singer harmonies and more. Adult content never dominates - never dark. If you're not put off by double entendres they can be very funny. Plenty of solid dance tunes and kitch.
If you really like this stuff, consider getting: Rockin' the Blues [BOX SET] [IMPORT] [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED] which has many of these songs listed on the 4th disc.

Yep, the man they called "Mr. Blues had a lot to be arrogant about; Hit after hit and a smash on LA's Central Avenue, this ex-member of Lucky Millinder's band had it all, the luxury house, the chauffer driven car, and an ADULT audience, not the 'bobbysoxers' he disdained, which was his downfall as radio turned to Rock'n'Roll for this very audience. This CD collection catches Harris in the early '50's at the top of his game; a dynamic, hit-making performer with a great voice who made good money purveying blatantly adult songs to adult night club patrons the length and breadth of the USA.
