Whitney shows her butt here! She shows the world why she's who she is. It's all about the voice, the talent, and did I mention that voice? Whitney soars and glides gracefully throughout the peaks and crevices of this song, with a rich voice full of passion and depth. Good job, Whitney.

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Who's voice is more beautiful to hear on this song than Whitney's? She gives this song the emotion, passion, and strength that is so due to it. With only crisp vocals and snapping to back her, she turns this song into an instant holiday classic. Belted out with unearthly passion and joy before unheard, she gives this a soulful and effective twist.

The Christmas Song

Whitney--yes, raindeer know how to fly! Yes Lord, they do! And she tells us so well! Those "well"'s she puts in there for added effect are priceless. She makes the listener feel as if they're watching her seranade him personally. Her voice melts like cotton candy as it flows to your ears. Savor this classic.

Little Drummer Boy

Bobbi Kris is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Mark my words. Her phrasing and vibrato are excellent--she's learning very well. The breakdown in the middle of the song makes you want to get up and dance. Excellent, from the first note to the last. Everything compliments each other in what is sure to become a timeless rendition of this song.

Deck the Halls/Silent Night

I would have, never, in my wildest dreams, thought to arrange this song in this way. It breaks so much from the traditionality of the song, and I'm abundantly pleased with that. Whitney is gracefully flowing up and down the vocal scale, while adding that little grit in her voice she's become known for. She put her soul into this song, and it is evident.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

It got off to a slow start, in my humble opinion. But she redeems wonderfully. The runs in this song were classic and are gonna be near to impossible to reproduce, except by the diva herself. She put her vocal stamp on this song. Her vocals are rich and pure on this song and she gives a quite unique interpretation of this sung-too-many-times-by-people-that-shouldn't-have-lended-their-voices-to-it holiday song.

I'll Be Home For Christmas

I feel her in this song. She really put the gospel twist on this and I'm loving every minute of it. Her vibrato on this song is so soothing and her vocals so welcoming and warm. This is a song that one can just close their eyes and nod their heads to in appreciation for she singings it in such a way that it can only be fully appreciated when concentrating on the song. She has definitely coined this version as a classic.

The First Noel

Although it's evident that Whitney put her heart and soul inside of this song, she became quite throaty on some of those belted notes and that took way from the song--not considerably, but some at least. I honestly believe this song would have been more effective if done somewhat like "I'll Be Home..." or "Who Would Imagine..." I, however, do like the song.

One Wish

This song was very lackluster. It takes you to the build up and then lets you down with nothing. She also becomes throaty on this one as well. She doesn't do as much with this song as she could have, in my opinion. It is not one of my most favorite tracks.

Overall, this is CD will be a treasure that everyone should be able to enjoy, especially if there is a deep appreciation or somewhat of an appreciation for Christmas music.
