Music Review: not definitive but still great

I'll start by saying that I'm biased - Perfect Place is my favorite pop song. I first heard it on a collection disc from PLG. That caused me to go out and find everything by Voice of the Beehive that I could. That aside, the review begins.
If you love VotB, you'll love this disc the first time you listen to it. The next time you'll grumble a little because it is missing tracks that should have been there. After a couple more listens you won't even notice anymore.
If you have never heard of VotB but you enjoy 80's pop, then you'll probably like this disc. The group has catchy lyrics and good beats. Like someone else said, you will notice that the group was making music for themselves. They put in pauses and little hooks that prevent the songs from making the club cut. But after a few listens you'll appreciate those little defects and realize that this is a gem with plenty of tracks that you'll play over and over.
