Music Review: Rockin' Out, Baby Style

This series of CDs is absolutely wonderful. I've had a number of baby showers to go to recently, and I always give a couple of these because, as gifts, they are different. They are a consistent hit! I know new moms need lots of diapers and onsies, but something like this, suited to the parents' musical tastes is always appreciated. And I even have a couple that I like to listen to (and I have no kids). They are wonderfully done and soothing, and you'll never get tired of hearing the same "old school" lullaby tunes!

The latest CD in the series that has provided hipster parents with wordless, infant-friendly versions of Led Zeppelin, U2, Metallica, and many others takes a turn for the unapologetically melodic here, having its way with classics from "Here Comes the Sun" to "Hey Jude." The result is, as ever, powder-puffy yet inarguably palatable, whether you're the one swaddled in the crib or the one staring down into it waiting for the sandman to arrive.
