Music Review: I've heard better tribute albums

This was almost an insult to the legendary glam rock gods. I heard "Deuce" all the way through on the radio, and it sucked. How could a good musician like Lenny Kravitz mess up one of my favorite Kiss songs? I feel he made a mistake when he brought Stevie Wonder on harmonica either way it's toast now. I was disappointed I didn't get to sample Garth Brooks doing "Hard Luck Woman" I would've liked to have heard him sing this almost country sounding ballad. A surprise version though, and I thought it was going to stink was the Gin Blossoms version of "Christine Sixteen" it was actually done up proper, so kudos to the Blossoms. The same goes for Anthrax with "She", but that's too hard to mess up, so kudos to Anthrax for doing a reverent cover of that song. "Plaster Caster" by the Lemonheads is probably the 3rd best cover on here. I guess honorable mention should go to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones for their rendition of "Detroit Rock City", but I didn't get to hear the music until the very end when they had a chunky clunky guitar riff which was good. However, the rest of this was not the faire I was expecting to hear. I guess I had "Great Expectations" because that was the original title of this tribute album before they went with "Kiss My A**" I was very disappointed with this, and hope that if another tribute album for KISS is done they have better artists.
