Music Review: Magical and sweet

[This is written by "Homeschool dad's wife] As I sat down to write my review, I popped in the CD to listen and my 4 year old said, "Hey, Mom, that's pretty." I have to agree with her wholeheartedly! The music selections are gentle and sweet with words you can actually understand. The accompanying booklet within the CD is a fully illustrated companion with the poems written out so that young people can follow along and enjoy Cecil Mary Barker's breathtaking illustrations. Based on the Flower Fairy Alphabet book, a flower for each letter of the alphabet is featured and her poem is put to music.
Listening to this CD is a magical experience as you are drawn into the world of flower fairies. No head banging music here...just pleasantly lilting poems set to lovely music. Some of the songs are sung by children. This is a CD that will certainly please children and parents alike. One side benefit is hearing the pronunciation of some flower names with which I was unfamiliar. A purely delightful flight of fancy!
