For years, I have complained about the very lame, politically correct secular Christmas music that is played incessantly in all the stores. I NEVER liked Frosty the Snowman or Rudolf or Jingle Bells or all the Santa songs (although I must admit that "Santa Baby" is awfully cute!). They just don't play all those lovely old English carols anymore---except at the Great Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. So I decided this year I would hear the wonderful tunes I learned in the Society for Creative Anachronisms, and in high school choir. This 3-CD package (it has a bonus CD) has all the songs I've loved, plus some that I hadn't heard before, which have become new favorites. The versions of the songs on the CD are very rich and traditional. We played this CD over and over at our jewelry store, and never tired of it.
