I bought this to help homeschool my 5 year old granddaughter, thinking I'd buy a copy for her to take home if I liked it. I may, but I will make a special point to get one for her 10-year-old cousin - he'll love it! Some of the humor will be understood by younger children, but an older child will really appreciate it more.
I'd never heard most of these songs before, but they are set to familiar tunes, making them easy to learn. In looking for the lyrics online, I found that many are classics. As such, they are subject to modification:

I think I'll call my grandson before he gets on the schoolbus and play a few songs for him. (I find myself humming "Road kill stew"...) Done - confirmed - meets the approval of 10 year old boys!
Oh - I'm glad the other reviewers wrote out the sound made on the rooster song - I'd substituted a much more offensive verb! But then, I'll bet those others would not own the Walter the Farting Dog book series either!
