Music Review: Black at his best
Rating: 4 Stars
This is the best Lewis Black album I have heard. It is focused and story-driven. The story is about Americans in the wake of 9-11 and the subsequent few years. At times, Black relies too heavily on his catch, disgusted-sound-effect verbalizations, or maybe he belabors a point, but other times he manages his disgust with serious and funny observations about what makes other countries despise us. They don't hate us because of our politics or religion, but because their politics and religion don't allow for a sense of humor that concurs with ours. I recommend this album, because Black is on his game, his delivery is good, and at the end, you agree with him enough of the time that you also remember he is funny, because we, we have created the end of universe.
