Music Review: Carpenter's Christmas Collection

First, I have always been a Carpenters fan. I love Karen's voice. This is a 2 disc set and it is composed of "Christmas Portrait" and "An Old Fashioned Christmas". On both discs, unlike their singles Karen and Richard do not harmonize together, but do their own work. There is Richard playing piano and keyboard and singing on his own, and Karen on her own. "Portrait" has the most popular Christmas songs while "Old Fashioned.." Has other popular songs and songs like "Little Alter Boy" that you don't often hear at Christmas. Richard plays a selection from "The Nutcracker". The Carpenter's Christmas Albums have always ranked in the top ten best Christmas albums since their albums were created. I would not hesitate to say it is beautiful Christmas music and should be added to your other favorite Christmas Albums/Songs.
