Music Review: Could be better

SS is the type of B-sideish release which made criticisms of overexposure for the ambitious folkie seem valid. After Michigan blew up, Stevens seemed to release even the scarcest of melodies, which in all fairness did still contain enough compelling and authentic architecture to warrant a look, but ultimately seemed to water the artist's unique style down and compartmentalize compelling ingredients.
