Music Review: Timeless Masterpiece

I have owned this CD since the mid 1980s and is one of the oldest in my collection since CD format was just then beginning to supplant vinyl LPs. The music, beats, and sounds on this album remain as fresh and innovative-sounding as the first time I played it. Of all the Police members on their own, Stewart is my favorite (sorry Sting and Andy even though I love you both) and of all the "Rhythmatist's" (his moniker is the title of this album) projects this is my favorite and I believe I have them al--Rumble Fish, Equalizer, Leopard Son, Orchestralli, and Oysterhead - The Grand Pecking Order (with Trey Anastasio and Les Claypool).
I am happy for those of you who do not own it that it has been re-issued because when I looked here a couple years ago I saw the only copies available were in the $60-70 range which caused me to guard mine as I would a family heirloom.
If you have made it this far to consider purchasing the fact that the 12 before my review have given it Five Star rating was no surprise to me and the fact that I'll add another should be no surprise to you once you've heard it.
A couple years ago, I looked up Ray Lema (whose vocals are featured on some of these tracks) and bought his album "Kinshasa-Washington D.C.-Paris" and was absolutely delighted to find that it included the first song on this album, "Koteja." Highly recommended if you like his work here.
My only regret is that the movie that this album was product in conjunction with remains out of print. Hopefully, it will make it to the market again some day.
