Music Review: Its For The R&B Lover in You

Ah, the `70's and `80's, now those were the decades of rich and engaging R&B music from groups like The Commodores, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Ohio Players, Con Funk Shun, The Bay Kays, and Shalamar.
Shalamar released (10) studio albums between 1975 and 1990 and had a succession of hit singles from those offerings that were culled together and released on the "Shalamar Original Hits" CD in 2006. Those hits include, but are not limited to: track No.2 The Second Time Around, track No.3 Make That Move, track No.7 Take That to The Bank, track No.13 Dancing in The Sheets, and my favorite, track No.14 This is For The Lover in You.
I like the fact that "Shalamar Original Hits" contains all of the songs from the group I grew up with and still enjoy, certainly since I have long ago lost tracks of my original albums by the trio. "Shalamar Original Hits" is a great CD to have if you want to take a trip down memory lane without laying down a lot of green for all (10) of Shalamar's original fair.
The three principals of Shalamar are: Howard Hewett, Jody Watley, and Jeffery Daniel.
