Music Review: Rock On indeed!

The Screaming Jets since the early 90's have been and STILL are one of Australia's premiere live rock bands, and this disc just proves why - when playing in a live setting, they are truly unmatched!
They are one of the few Aussie bands who still proudly carry the torch for pub rock that AC/DC helped create back in their early days, but they also inject a realness and edge, to keep them sounding fresh and relevant in todays mixed musical climate.
This show was recorded November 2004 in front of a packed house full of fans and you can hear every note, every cymbal crash and vocal line crystal clear.
And as for songs, man, these guys have a such a vast back catalogue of sing-a-long radio friendly rock tunes that you can't help but tap along, even if you don't know the songs.
This in a way, is a best-of set, and seeing how strong they sound live (sometimes even better live than on record!) it would be a good album to add to a long time Jets fan's collection, as well as any newcomers who may be curious as to what this band is about.
If you like your rock n' roll loud and thoughtful, uncompromising, yet damn-catchy, then look no further than the Screaming Jets.
Rock On is the title of this album, and you sure will when you hear it!
