Music Review: A true classic
Rating: 5 Stars
Simply put, this is one of the most under appreciated true black metal(and all metal) classics ever to be released. The music and atmosphere as one other reviewer put it make acts like Darkthrone seem sterile in comparison. I have never heard an album that conveys such a dark cold atmosphere and is actually this listenable and enjoyable from start to finish. The mix of cold evil black metal and medieval sounding folk sounds so natural that its frightening. I can not recommend this album more than enough, as I believe it to be the best of its kind and one of the best in the genre easily. 5 stars should be saved for albums like this, top quality.
