Music Review: A Recording to bring back memories

I was thirteen in 1976 when this record was made. My parents took me to the live performance of the Royal Marines and Black Watch and I will never forget it. They played in an arena along with the precision marching and drumming was the finest sound imaginable. I was inspired to play an instrument myself and have done so to this day (trombone). Patriotism was high in that bicentennial year and the crowd in attendance was greaty moved. We bought this recording at the concert in LP format and it has been played so much over the years that it scratches and skips, but it still takes me back to that day. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. The sound quality is amazing and it would be difficult not to feel patriotic after hearing these selections.Music Review: Best British Military Band Show EVER!!!

I saw the 1976 show in Baltimore & what an incredible night. What set this show apart was two full size Royal Marine Bands combined Plus the entire Black Watch Band + Pipes & Drums ( Black Watch Band has since been disbanded). What a sound as the band marched the last time during their encore they played "Dixie", the place went nuts. Every semi-annual British band show in the past 30 years has NEVER equaled this incredible show for size, sound quality & you could taste it excitement. This CD give a sense of what it was all about! By the center quick march!!!Music Review: bagpipes galore!

Bought this cd for my father for Fathers Day...He loves the Black Watch and his favorite instrument is the bagpipes! That is the main reason he wanted this cd! He has been getting an immense amount of joy and satisfaction with the cd....If you enjoy marching music and bagpipes....this is the cd you've been looking for!
