Music Review: Cosmic Dissolve

For Your Pleasure is a classic rock gem .It gives what other music cannot deliver in the ''creepy '' catagory;it paints soundscapes that are different every time ."In Every Dream House a Heartache ",is an incredible rendition of a Stepford Wife who becomes flesh and blood.Or, the doll could be a female colossus,an uberbarbie.The title track is an elegy to a dying old man.It would make a great send off track,yes,death is unnatural,and as the band chants tara taraaa...as the chant works its way to the end of the song I have to shut it off.Do The Strand is one of the most underrated songs of all time.It has lot of wonderful grinding positive energy,plus Ferry must have put a little dance/art history lesson in there when he wrote it.Todays teens could brighten their day with this pop/rocker .Editions of You is another dazzling gem.Campy,fun,it will put a smile on your face.Beauty Queen a great take on a local teen who wants to go places.The Bogus Man is a great song to draw and paint pictures to.Strictly Confidential reminds me of someone who is in the depths of nihilistic despair,wanting to jump into the inky waters far below,hopefully the poor soul will wake up to life!It has a chilling crescendo,hopefully the ambulance and the blue lights will be at the bridge asap!Grey Lagoons is gorgeous.Ferry is gorgeous too,resplendent in eyeshadow crooning this song,shaking his matador epaulets,I just love the line 'satin teardrops on velvet lights 'so kitschy!Check out the sax line;the nervy tension makes for a mood shift uptempo.This album is a masterpiece.
