Music Review: Her voice remains nothing short of angelic.Atmospheric jazz.

The American-Italian jazz songstress is definitely one of the best vocalists out today,and one of Europe's most adventurousmusicians.
She is a sensuous,expressive interpreter of the jazz standards(by such American songwriters as Cole Porter,George Gershwin,Duke Ellington,Thelonius Monk) that fill the album.
Casale's tribute to her biggest infuences is an incredible CD that manages to capture both Rossana's delicate vocal power and the spirit of the women it is paying tribute to.
With an ace backing band and a firm understanding of how to achieve her tributes,Casale has provide a very engaging album,recorded in a whirlwind four-day session,which gives a pleasing contemporary gloss to familar classics such as 'My Funny Valentine','Good Morning Heartache','Summertime'...
Overall,a splendid album of atmospheric jazz.A pearl !
