Music Review: Well, it's pretty, but...
Rating: 4 Stars
In a word: Pretty. Very well done in that aspect, and it has a good selection of songs. However, the music lacks a real depth. It's fairly basic, without additional flair or innovation. So while it makes good background music, when I went to lay back, close my eyes, and indulge in beautiful piano music, I put on something from Final Fantasy Piano Collections.

Gifted Northwest pianist Tom Kellock's soothing, elegant style and unique arrangements unveil the classic beauty of these popular melodies. This classic collection of favorite songs was recorded in November 1997 by one of the West Coast's premier studio musicians, Tom Kellock. Kellock's solo piano style brings out the essence of each song. His arrangements are pure and unaffected.This solo piano CD was recorded at Triad Studios in Redmond, Washington using state-of-the-art digital recording technique and equipment. Utmost care was taken throughout the recording and mastering process by multi-Platinum award winning engineer Tom Hall. The Yamaha Concert Grand piano was recorded direct to stereo digital using Neumann KM88 microphones and the DB Technologies AD122 analog to digital converter. The music was mastered in digital using the Sonic Solutions Digital Mastering System.
