Music Review: Another excellent Professor Pocket product

The excellence of this bilingual CD simply cannot be overstated. It's no wonder Professor Pocket products continue to garner award after award, and continue to ignite the desire of thousands of children (and parents!) to learn more Spanish. Our children (ages 4 and 3) are big Professor Pocket fans. In fact, their interest in Spanish led to our initiation of formal Spanish tutoring, largely as a result of their enjoyment of the Professor Pocket CDs!

Our Hawaiian Hula Adventure is truly terrific. As others have noted, "¡Vamos a la Playa!" really IS a great song. It's such an upbeat, catchy tune that I find myself playing it--even during precious moments of "alone time" in the car. Our family also really enjoys "Los Animales Cantan," an interactive song that young children will particularly enjoy. Fans of Billy Jonas, who lends his excellent talent to this CD, will be delighted to sing along with him as he playfully makes underwater animal sounds. It's a very fun song and even a bit reminiscent of some of Jonas's own works.

So, a multiple award-winning CD, created by two obviously very talented women, featuring well-known musical artists like Billy Jonas ... really, what's not to love? My favorite part, though, is when my daughter stops in the middle of play and excitedly states, "Wait, Mommy, I need to look in my 'special pocket'!" And all of the Spanish vocabulary and phrases that she and her brother are continually repeating is just the icing on the cake.
