Music Review: Pretenders - Unplugged and Excellent!

I'm not a big fan of "live performances" unless I am there but, this incredible "Isle of View" of the Pretenders is a welcome addition to my CD collection as well as my DVD collection. Chrissie and Company do a fabulous job of bringing these Pretenders classics to a new light in this acoustic performance in front of a nice, yet "intimate" studio audience.
With the use of some "unusual" instruments here and there, as well as some interesting arrangements, this is, as far as I'm concerned, Chrissie and Co at their best. It's EASY to see here what has made Pretenders music popular on an international level.
Great production, instrumentation, arrangements, and performances make this one of the best Pretenders CD's to date and their best
"Live" CD without exception! A great line up of classic Pretenders tunes make this a must have for any "Unplugged" or acoustic music lover as well as any Pretenders fan! I highly recommend tis CD and I am thankful that Rhino saw fit to re-release this piece of perfection.
