This has been the soundtrack of my summer!!
Although the entire album is grand and wonderful (how rare it is to be able to say that of a disc), Lasso is on constant play in my car and on my Zune:)
I plan to investigate Phoenix's entire body of work soon, soon, soon!

I watched the video for "Lisztomania" and although there are some visual references to Franz Liszt -- I wanted something more. These guys could have made a real connection to this nineteenth-century "pop star." The music is cool -- but the high culture references seem a little too easy.Music Review: Wished I liked pop better

I heard the first and second track on radio and tv and thought I might like the whole thing. Reviewers seem to like it. I missed something-perhaps I just don't like pop music all that much. Most of the tunes seem simplistic and repetitive and just don't capture my attention. Bummer.Music Review: Good Album From A Great Band

I really enjoy this band. Their unique pop sound and tremendous energy makes for a great record. I stumbled upon their prior album somehow - I forget - but I fell in love with it, and once this was released I purchased it and am very very happy with it.
