The Pet Shop Boys are some of the best pop songwriters around, so WHY on earth would they accept a song written by the infamous, middle-of-the-road (I'm trying hard not to type "hack" here)composer, Diane Warren? And she didn't even write it for them! They only got it after other, wiser groups rejected it! Buy the album (which is excellent), skip this regretable single, and marvel at how amazing it is that Neil & Chris have given so much first-rate material over the decades. They are peerless.

Part One of Two. Third single pulled from the Fundamental album by the Synthpop legends. The Trevor Horn-produced 'Numb' is a rarity in the PSB's history, as it is one of the few 'new' tracks they've released that is not self-penned (this track was written by hitmaker Diane Warren).
