Music Review: My family loves the Paul Potts CD
Rating: 5 Stars

The human interest story behind the music is what made it intriguing to my family in the first place, but the CD itself is holding their fascination. I collect a fair amount of music, and lately this is the CD that my wife, my daughters (13 and 14) and my son (16) play again and again. Of greater importance, this has led my son to obtain a 3 CD set of Pavarotti, whose songs now share space on his iPod with Led Zeppelin and Incubus (sp?). Some folks object to his lack of polish or some technical quibbles, but I would ask: When watching the Olympics of years gone by, who was more inspiring? The Soviet trained athletes, sent away from families to learn the technical skills to win medals for their country; or the upstart young kid full of heart and God-given skill? I hope my analogy speaks for itself. Buy the CD of the upstart young man. Your heart will be made glad.

Music Review: Paul Potts - One Chance
Rating: 3 Stars

Like many people, I saw Paul Potts as a video on YouTube when he was on Britain has Talent. I was very impressed with his voice, and immediately bought the CD. Sadly, the CD was a disappointment - not due to Paul Pott's voice, but instead due to the very poor producer. The choice of songs, and the bizzare need to to sing most all of them in a language, other than English, eludes me. Since "My Way" was hugely successful in this country in English, why would you record it only in Italian and not both Italian and English? The producers should get a copy of a new CD by Carlos De Antonis; "del Cuore," and listen to it. The orchestrations on the "One Chance" album are thin, and Paul Potts is not the greatest acappella voice out there. I realize that this is his first effort, but his producers didn't do him any favors with this poor showcase of his beautiful voice.

Music Review: A place in the journal
Rating: 5 Stars

I found myself writing today and have realized that I am struck by this guy and his talent. I live in the US and did not have the pleasure of watching him except when the news annouced his story.

I have read many of the entries in this venue of "review" and would like to remind everyone that Paul Potts did something that he has always wanted to do and in my opinion has become a very big success because he stuck with his convictions and opened his talent to all to hear.

I find his singing a beautiful wonderful masterpiece of courage and fantasy. I get lost in his tone and hopefully will be able to do so in the near future with whatever endeavors he may find himself doing.

Lovely is all I have to say and congrats to all who listen as we are seeing history in the making with this lovely man.

Music Review: The Amazing Paul Potts
Rating: 5 Stars

I just recently discovered Paul when a friend emailed me a link about him on YouTube. I watched the link, which was his first audition on Britains Got Talent and immediately went to YouTube to find out the rest of the story.

I am not necessarily a fan of opera. I like the Messiah, and I could listen to Pavarati, but never bought his stuff. However, as soon as I found out Paul won the competition, I check on Amazon to see if he had a CD and immediately bought it. My children even like it!

When I like something, I have to share. I have been sending emails all over the internet to tell the Paul Potts story.

This CD is even more amazing than I expected. Paul has a voice that is extremely beautiful and his talent is indescribable. His music gives me chills and makes me want to cry at the same time. Beautiful work!

Music Review: Amazing CD ..
Rating: 5 Stars

Like most everyone else, I heard about Paul Potts via e-mail link to You Tube. After watching Paul's video's I was hooked. Not sure why. There is something about his voice that goes directly to your soul and brings up emotions that have been dormant for a long time. My soul is loving it. I guess that's what the "hook" is. I haven't cried this much in years. Of course, I ordered 3 of his CD's (2 for me and 1 for a gift) and have played it everyday, all day long and never tire of it. It really says something when you read about grown macho men crying when Paul sings. I know there may be better technical and experienced singers out there, but they have never moved me as Paul's voice has.

Get the tissues out for Everybody Hurts, Caruso and O'Holy Night. Best way to listen is sit back, close your eyes and let it touch your soul.
