Music Review: Critics said it is bad - i say it is good

1.STRANGEHOLD - a great beginning.solid Rocker with ultra catchy melody and some fantastic horns.Paul's vocals are powerfull and so the whole tune.an example of McCartney rock style. 10/10

2.GOOD TIMES COMING/FEEL THE SUN - two songs that became one.
"Good times coming" features some nice reagge/funk bass groove and hot sumer melody.perfect for listening on the beach.altough it has something dark in it it is very positive track
"Feel the sun" is cheerfull pop-rock tune that we expect from Paul...10/10

3.TALK MORE TALK - another extraordinary track.much more electronic sounds like PEter Gabriel song because of heavy drums from his long-time partner Jerry Marotta.it is about people's need to Talk and comunicate with others.some funny samples during whooe track.definitly a gem 10/10

4.FOOTPRINTS - very dark but melodic acoustic ballad.this time it remains of The Cure songs...mellow but very good 10/10

5.ONLY LOVE REMAINS - one of weaker songs...a standard 80-ties love ballad with piano and some symphonic orchestra.nice tune but you can skip it as well.Typical Pop side of Paul 7/10

6.PRESS - catchy and melodic synth pop with pretty good guitar work (Carlos Alomar from David bowie group) and good melody.it was a small hit across europe.i like it,very joyfull.lyrics are interesting too altough i still can't figure what's "Oklahoma was never like this" means in this situation... 8/10

7.PRETTY LITTLE HEAD - absolutely the best from here...mellow,very dark ambient track with mysterious lyrics and a lot of effects.it has very sensitive atmosphere...
Paul never recorded anything simmilar - still it is very impressing and makes me thing he must be a genious to record such a piece of music. 10/10

8.MOVE OVER BUSKER - pretty good rocker.Phil Collins on drums.nothing special but after several listenings it can grow on you.nice chorus and guitar riff 8/10

9.ANGRY - It ment to be fast "Angry" rock song but it is nothing really great.average guitar playing (Pete thowsend from The Who on guitar) average melody...the weakest song from album still it is not as bad as some tracks from "Pipes of peace",his previous album. 6/10

10.HOWEVER ABSURD - great beatless styled ballad with good piano job...very good song. 9/10

11.WRITE AWAY - awesome jazzy song based on Strange sample of Clicking pen (or something simmilar)...smooth melody very nice vocals. 10/10

12.ITS NOT TRUE - nothing really good but nothing speacially bad.the vocal harmonies in begening are smelling too much like eighties bad pop music for me. 6/10

13.THOUGH ON A TIGHTROPE - very good ballad with nice bass line and interesting lyrics.Paul shows his talent to write simple but awesome melodies. 8/10

14.SPIES LIKE US - eighties pop...lyrics are bot the strongest side of this track...you can skip it although the catchy chorus can make you sing along. 7/10

15.ON A UPON LONG AGO - great nostalgic ballad that was featured originally to "all the best " compilation.nice saxophone solo and nice guitars.good song 8/10

"Press to play" is recomended for everyone - it is a great piece of music.even the weaker tracks can't take the splendor from it.it shines with many experiments.fresh sound and amazing melodies.as it was written in booklet - "for best results..Press to play"...i press and i play it on my CD player right now.i recomend the same to you!
