Music Review: A brilliant conceptual album!

But this is not just a four-year bacclaurette academic exercise in how to create complexity and density through scaled harmonics. There is quite a bit of soul (that aspect of ourselves which connects us in an empathetic way with everything else in the world and gains immense pleasure from detailed and dense recordings such as "imaginary day") as well that accompanies this music. I wept the first few times I listened to "follow me". Not out of sadness but out of the joy I felt of being on a trip with someone (who? may be I'll never, but hope to someday know) in a special place (where? I do not but hope to some day know) where there is pure beauty and love permeating through everyone and every being. "across the sky" also gives me the same hope that this music will affect the psyche's of everyone who listens and helps them create in their world more beautiful, intriguing, and mysterious real-time (as in NOW!) scenarios to where each heartfealt bio-computing gift from god will view their place like a child reaching consciousness for the first time in their lives and exploring all facets of their mental-physical environment.

And finally, what could sound more empathetic and beautiful than "too soon tomorrow"? An overlooked piece but one of my all-time favorite Metheny compositions.

In short, I strongly recommend this recording.
