Music Review: Terrific Live Album of Texas Music

Pat Green is one of those artists that is best heard live, and this live set from a few years back doesn't disappoint. Chock full of old favorites and standbys, Here We Go is my favorite collection of Pat's terrific brand of Texas music. Highlights are a rousing rendition of "George's Bar", a heartfelt "Songs About Texas", and the coup de grace is the title track to close the set. The only letdown, personally, is "Nightmare", an uneven addition to an otherwise solid collection of songs. This CD is a perfect introduction to Pat Green and to the kind of music that packs them in all around the Lone Star state. Highly recommended!
