Music Review: Their best, a great example of awesome bubblegum music...

This is my favorite Partridge Family album, and actually one of my favorite albums EVER. I love the bubblegum genre (or baroque pop as I like to say), and this is one of the best examples of it. Every song on it is a well crafted gem. It's not terribly long (clocking in just under 32 minutes), but there is no filler on it at all. It has some of the greatest songs The Partridge Family ever laid down. Point Me in the Direction of Alberqueque is quite powerful, and Bandala is extremely catchy. Bandala is one of my all time favorite Partridge songs. Only a Moment Ago is a beautiful, tender, heartfelt ballad, and I Can Feel Your Heartbeat has a wicked guitar riff. A really wicked one, honestly. I'm On the Road, a song without David singing lead, is fantastic. Surprisingly, the producers of the show didn't know Cassidy could actually sing, and he wasn't supposed to be the lead singer of the group. Luckily, they decided to let him. I Think I Love You is a great pop single, and the closer, Singing My Song, is a wonderful sing a long song. You reall can't help but sing along.
I never really cared for the TV show, but I adore the music. This is probably the best album the Partridge Family did, and it's incredibly inexpensive. There's no reason not to pick it up.
