Music Review: TRADITIONAL EAST INDIAN MANTRAS SET TO A CONTEMPORARY BACKGROUND

Padma Previ is a wonderful female vocalist who chants Sanskrit mantras with contemporary rhythms and settings. She takes mantras that many others have done (e.g., Om Namah Shivaya) and gives them a fresh interpretation.
This album has eight tracks ranging from 2:41 to 8:47 long, but there is no "overplay" or "redundancy" on the album. For fans of contemporary chant and spiritual music who appreciate an eastern orieintation, this is highly recommended.
