Music Review: Wonderfully romantic
Rating: 5 Stars
Excellent... if you are into quiet, late 1950's sound, with strings, bordering with easy listening or "dinner jazz".
Oscar Peterson is playing as elegantly and efficiently as ever, in a rather relaxed manner, creating a wonderful, romantic atmosphere.
This is even less jazzy that the record Peterson produced a few years later with Nelson Riddle's orchestra.
Even if the style is obviously different, it reminds me somewhat of George Shearing's "Satin Affair". or Nat King Cole's "The Piano Style of NKC".
