Music Review: A Perfect Christmas Gift

After seeing "A Christmas Carol, The Musical" staring Kelsey Grammer on TV I was enchanted. It is a wonderful, new re-telling of the old Christmas story favorite. Told more through music and dance then dialouge it still keeps the integrity and story of the original in tact. The beautiful music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens introduced me to several new Christmas song favorites, especially "God Bless Us Everyone" and "A Place Called Home." Mr Grammers heart tugging "Yesterday, Tomorrow and Today" is a powerful reminder to be a better person,to count your blessings and live each day to the fullest. I purchesed the CD from Amazon and have been playing the music ever since. My only regrett was not buying the DVD at the same time. As much as I love the music, I think I would enjoy it more while watching the full production. The performances by Kelsey Grammer, Jason Alexander, Jennifer Love Hewitt and so many others makes this a perfect Christmas gift or keepsake. Whether music or movie this Christmas Carol will be a part of my familys tradition for years to come.
Purchasing from Amazon.com made the process so quick and easy. I had my CD within days and was able to enjoy it even before Christmas this year. I paid less then I would have in a retail store and it was delivered so I didn't have to go store to store through the snow to find it. In fact the one store I visited, a large nationally known book and music chain didn't even carry it. So God Bless Amazon, every one.
