Like all Ahrens and Flaherty musicals, the lyrics are excellent and the music challanging, entertaining, and very enjoyable! But who today know comedia del arte (or can even spell it for that matter)? Never the less this show will join my "wonderful" list. And like "LUCKY STIFF" it is an unsung success and oh, so enjoyable. It is no "RAGTIME" but after all, what is? The voices ring in perfect tone, the story is engaging, and the entire score is loveable throughout.
