Music Reviews of Bye Bye Birdie!Music Review: The Better Birdie Soundtrack Rating: 5 Stars
Yes, yes I know the movie soundtrack has Ann-Margaret, but other than her absence, the Broadway play version is far superior. "The Telephone Hour" for instance is way much better than the film version, which sounds lame in comparison. Broadway may not have had Ann-Margaret, but it did have Dick Gautier as Conrad Birdie. He was a much better Birdie than the Birdie in the movie. Mr. Gautier was a much better singer also. I wish I could have seen this on stage, live!
Music Review: You'll Love the Music! Rating: 5 Stars
I recently saw the revival of this musical on Broadway, staring John Stamos. It was spectacular! Although a current cast recording is not available the orginal recording is wonderful, because the music and lyrics are wonderful. If you have seen the movie version, you will know what I mean. If you are child of the fifties and/or sixties you will thoroughly enjoy the CD and the DVD. Both are so much fun, that you will "put on a happy face"!
Music Review: Birdie review Rating: 5 Stars
I got this for my granddaughters who are in their high school production of Bye, Bye Birdie. They listen on the way to and from school and have learned all the words to the songs. They love it.
Music Review: Great Soundtrack Rating: 5 Stars
This is a great soundtrack it is fun and enjoyable to listen to. The best songs on this cd are all of them.
