Music Review: I don't get the hype.

I don't understand why everyone is praising this album. Sure, it's brutal. But believe it or not, there is more to good music than just being brutal. One of the other reviewers had it right when he said that all the songs blend together. You listen to the first song and it sounds awesome. Great drumming, really fast, lots of aggression, just what you want in death metal. But then you hear the second song and it sounds EXACTLY the same. By song number 3 you're about ready to take this out of your cd player. I can't sit through this whole album, and it's not even that long. There's no "bad" song on this album, per se. Each song has its cool parts. But believe me, after hearing this a couple times you won't be able to sit through it for long. It's just really monotonous. Origin is good at their instruments but they need to work on their songwriting to actually make real death metal fans want to hear this. If you're going to listen to this album, your best bet is to put your cd player on random, listen to one track, and then take it out and listen to something else. This way, over the course of a couple days, you can hear the whole album and not be bored.
I'm warning you, don't be fooled by all the hype. All a death metal band has to do these days is play really fast and broootal and you'll have a thousand guys being like "THIS RULES! BEST BAND EVER! ORIGIN ARE GODS BWAAAAAAAAH!" But if you have any more brains than those people, try some suffocation, angelcorpse, exhumed, psycroptic, death, insision, carcass, napalm death, kataklysm, nile, anata, capharnaum, etc. There's tons of great death metal & grindcore out there without having to resort to stuff as boring and generic as this.
