Music Review: SUCKS BAD

If I could give no stars i would -what happened guys? the first 36 seconds and some in the middle of track nine S.E.X. has any remote sound of the nickleback I know. The rest is just sugar coated bubble gum candy teenie rock. Get back to the songs with some teeth 1 or 2 power ballads is enough. and you also have more talent then to filter into the mainstream sex filth on the radio. What a disappointment after ATRR- Forgive me guys but after this fiasco I had to eject this mess and blow the sugar and sex off of my woofers as I carved your name on the side of a bullet maybe the next CD someone will get the hint and Knock off the mainstream BS. signed WAITING FOR THE NEXT WITH HOPE
HATED THIS AND THE DARK HORSE IS RIGHTFULLY NAMED. IN THE PAST AND FORGOTTEN- CRANK IT UP WILL YA!

You should buy this CD! This is a must buy for all...First of all this isnt your everday rock CD...this is,from the opening track, Something in your Mouth...till the last one..This Afternoon..a musical adventure!
This offering from the men hailing from Canada is amazing...Great lyrics trembling guitar rifts...awesome lead vocals..haunting background vocals..Thunderous drum beats..intermixed keyboards...it's got it all
ballads and pump your fist rockers..It's fun yet serious..It does what music is supposed to do...get in your Pysche..let you latch on the coattails of somebody who's talented enough to put it all out there and let us ride along as they take us on a musical journey...Just don't judge this CD based on there last CD..judge it on it's own..So buy it,put in on and hold the heck on!
Music Review: My first disappointment with Nickelback

I have been listening to this group since before it became mainstream, and for the first time I am disappointed with a release. I find Dark Horse rather manic in the song themes - jumping from almost extremes in love songs to sex and drugs overload. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish here, but it seems very disjointed. Not that the actual music itself (sans lyrics) isn't good, and that they haven't had extremes before, but this one just doesn't do it for me.
As other disappointed reviewers said, listen to the available clips first, find the lyrics online, check it out first before you buy it. I wish I had. I would've just downloaded the few tracks I think are worth the money. Too bad - they've always had a sure sale with my circle, but it'll be different in the future.
Music Review: Not worth $5.99 let alone $9.99

When I bought this album it was with very, very high expectations. I really liked Curb, The Long Road, Silver Side Up, The State, and All the Right Reasons, finding Silver Side Up and All the Right Reasons the best. Nickelback has with the album gone the way of the rest of the commercial sellouts managed by the likes of Mutt Lange. I didn't mind the occasional heavy song with lyrics along the lines of Something in your Mouth, but this album sounds like a collection of repetitive themed alternate versions of Away into the Night and Animals. Definitely won't pre-order the next one. I'll override my excitement and hopes for a new album and take the high road and just download and burn a copy. That way, if it reeks of commercial mediocrity such as Dark Horse does, I'll only be out the cost of a CD-R.Music Review: Nickelback gets better and better

It seems Nickelback just keeps getting better. While I wear one cd out listening too it I still can't wait to see what they are going to do next. Some people think they are dirty for speaking of sex, but I dont think so. If you could just be a fly on the wall in most of your public schools today you hear alot worse than this. Nickelback has kept their rock standing and still beat out power ballads that will almost break your heart. This album was endearing to me, mainly because it addresses the drug issue that has arisen. I have lost several friends and family because drugs have taken hold of their lives and they live to get high. It makes you angry and sad all at the same time, I think they captured these emotions well. All in all this is a great album, and I cant wait for the next one.
