Music Review: "This Is All I Ask" . . . A CD by Nat King Cole with Gordon Jenkins . . . It's Lovely!

For fans of two of my favorite musical figures, Nat King Cole and Gordon Jenkins, you'll surely love this recently released recording of "The Very Thought of You," one of the most remarkable albums from Nat King Cole's discography originally recorded and released in 1958. It contains a repertoire of some of the most-loved ballads lushly orchestrated by Gordon Jenkins, a Grammy award winner, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and one of the greatest conductors/arrangers/composers ever lived.
Cole's velvety smooth voice lends radiance to these timelessly beautiful standards and enhanced by the exquisite orchestral arrangements by Jenkins, who was better known for his par excellence orchestrations on some of the most beautiful Sinatra recordings such as Where Are You?, A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra and a Grammy-winning-album, September of My Years.
