Music Review: An Extravaganza!

The Naked Carmen was released by Mercury Records to celebrate their 35mm recordings and pop+classical music. Musically it is stupendous. The production is over the top, and even the packaging goes beyond anything I've ever seen elsewhere. I had two copies that I sold for a couple bucks each when I moved several years ago (didn't have any room for my extensive record collection and sold them all), and I have regretted it ever since. It might help if you were around for Vietnam, but it's not necessary. With all the obscure things put onto CD, I can't understand why The Naked Carmen hasn't made it. It's a treasure -- plus music to be enjoyed today, not just historically interesting.
