Music Review: Good Music, Stupid Sounds From Manson Wannabes

I too was spooked by the droning menace, sampled screams, and Manson Family style choruse of TKK's "I See Good Spirits...", but that was nigh on 17 years ago. Listening again I find myself saying aloud, "Ooh, you're sooo dark". The production and music are still resoundingly pleasing; great goth dance music, but the snarly teen delivery of adolescent Satanist lyrics is almost laughable. Songs like "Do You Fear For Your Child" and "And This Is What The Devil Does", replete with screaming babies, and what sounds like your pentagram wearing teen niece intoning "Our Lord is Satan", pronounced inexplicably as "Satin" is just too much. As is the use of X-ians instead of Christians in a song title ("Nervous X-ians"). My recommendation would be to release a version of "I See Good Spirits..." with any and all human vocals removed (screams, cringe-inducing chants worthy of Goth Talk's Azrael etc.). That would be a decent album.
