Music Reviews of My Life in the Bush of GhostsMusic Review: I didn't. Rating: 5 Stars
This is one that goes with me when we leave earth. I read that Byrne and Eno didn't get along well (gossip - who knows) but I sure am glad they put this one together. It seems to change every time you hear it. Once I couldn't convince myself that I wasn't hearing my own voice cut into the background. But that was probably just me.
Music Review: best cd ever. Rating: 5 Stars
if you like david byrne and brian eno, this is the one cd you must buy immeditely. the songs are all based on bits and pieces of radio broadcasts. what makes this so entertaining is the way the original radio portion is layered with highly tectured rythms and synthesisors like mad.
Music Review: Why Qu'aran is not in this CD ?? Rating: 4 Stars
From S?o Paulo, Brazil ! This album is excellent, but a song called Qu'aran, (one of my favourite)is not on this CD ! political reasons ? I don't know. Fortunately I have a vinyl version. If you don't know this song, try to find in vinyl, the bass line is great !
Music Review: cool Rating: 5 Stars
Awesome stuff. Two very important musicians come together, who could say no? To all of the reviews about "found sound," what about the voices on Dark Side of the Moon? Maybe it's not so revolutionary in that regard. Still really good, such a cool combo.
Music Review: Classic Byrne+Eno Rating: 5 Stars
This one of those cd's that gets better every time you listen to it, and a must-hear for Byrne fans. Better than most early Talking Heads, and (as usual) way ahead of its time. Of all of the work David Byrne and Brian Eno did together, this album is their opus.
