Music Review: Awesome!

Like some of you, I got into Muse after I read the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer. She constantly mentioned this group in all her acknowledgements at the end of every book, so I thought I'd check them out since they gave her such inspiration to write such incredible books. I ended up picking up Black Holes & Revelations; one of the best CD's I ever bought. I had to get the rest of the Muse collection so I bought them all. Showbiz is my favorite of all the Muse CD's. Most people's favorite is Absolution, which is a great album, but I love the raw rock sound of Showbiz. With the beginning song on the album, Sunburn, I was hooked on this CD. Muse is a spectacular band and Matthew Bellamy is a incredible song writer. Can't wait for their new CD to come out this year and can't wait for them to come to town on tour! If you love Muse and you love good rock songs get this CD, you'll love it!
Description of Showbiz
Japanese Version featuring a Bonus Track.Often compared to Radiohead, the youngsters in Muse make no bones about their love of Thom Yorke and company. Like Radiohead and their other favorite band, Nirvana, the tracks on Muse's debut go straight for the quiet verses and windstorm choruses associated with those acts. Unfortunately, Muse don't have that crackling aura their idols possess, and that's something that no amount of production can fix. Still, it's hard to write them off completely after hearing the single "Muscle Museum," which hints at brighter days on the horizon. Radiohead's Pablo Honey wasn't that great an album either, and look at them post-OK Computer. If they're going to crash American radio, they'll have to wait until the next release. --Jason Josephes
