Music Review: After weeks of listening, we still like this CD.

There are two reviewers on here that could not be more wrong.
1) Here is to the person who complained that the CD was only 28 minutes. That is not too short. It is just right for a brief car ride. A longer CD will lose the kid's interest before it gets through all 12 numbers. After playing it about 20 times over a couple of months, my kids would not tolerate a longer CD. Also, I have heard snippets of the CD that the reviewer recommended. It is insipid and bland and not something I, as a parent who can't help but also memorize the tunes, would want going round and round in my head for days. And 73 minutes of that sounds like pure torture. Just because something is sold in the giant economy pack, doesn't make it "quality" or "good".
2) As for the one who says the songs all sound the same, I beg to differ. They do not. Each song on this CD is written in a different genre. They are by their nature unique and they are young and hip. Ron Brown is quite talented both at song writing and performing. I do not agree with her criticism of boring, either. It is possible that the reviewer has kids who are not musically inclined. Could also be that they are more visual than audial as learners and need the visual stimulation of a DVD. Either way, it is not the fault of the CD.
The idea of encouraging kids to form a dance routine to the music is a good one. That is especially beneficial for kinesthetic learners. Mr. Brown sings each song through twice, once with the answers and a second time with the answer blanked out so the kids can fill it in with their own voices.
I have 4 kids who are in various stages of learning their multiplications tables. Some are already there thanks to this CD.
