Music Review: A late Feldman masterpiece.

"For Bunita Marcus" is one of Feldman's late masterworks, in this case a long (over 70 minutes) work for solo piano (his last solo piano composition, I believe.) This has all the hallmarks of Feldman's late style; slowly evolving, often repeating patterns which weave together in a quiet and otherworldly beauty that is Feldman's own. Always remember that when Stockhausen asked Feldman "What's your secret?" Feldman replied "I don't push the sounds around." Simple as that, yet how brilliant and unexpected an approach to music-making.
