Music Review: Lots of fun and a range of vocal expression

We haven't seen the show, but we like Monty Python and the Holy Grail and couldn't resist picking up this CD when we were in the music store getting a guitar fixed and looking for Christmas music for the BB(flat) tuba (none so far).

I didn't realize right away that it wasn't the Broadway cast, and since we've not seen the show, like I said, we couldn't tell anyway. We enjoy the CD and think it is very campy and expressive. We'll probably get the Broadway cast version too, because it does have more songs as well as the original cast.

Description of Monty Python's Spamalot: From the Hit Broadway Musical - Hits You Can Sing Too!

Winner of the 2005 Tony for best new musical, Spamalot is loosely based on the movie: Monty Python and the Holy Grail with new compositions by Eric Idle and John Du Prez.

On this karaoke cd, two versions of every song are provided: tracks 1-13 contain the background tracks + guide vocals; tracks 14-26 contain the accompaniment tracks alone.

All songs are in the original show key, and show tempo. Intros to the songs from the Broadway show are provided.

On-Screen lyrics will appear when this CD+G is played in a karaoke machine. No lyrics will appear when the album is played in a regular CD player, however, a lyric booklet is provided.
