Great album, truly refreshing when you look back at the music from early 80s, this was one of those brilliant unnoticed "alt. rock" gems from back then. Had one issue though, on one of the tracks on the second disc it was actually stuck and i had to give my record player a little push for it to continue playing, and this was my first time playing it. So beware, you get what you pay for though - a decent pressing of a classic album.

Minutemen's Double Nickels on the Dime is a masterwork of American indie rock, a sprawling, 42-song explosion of terse, revolutionary rock & roll. Rifling through a kind of lurching punk-funk, this San Pedro, California, trio poses philosophical questions, mocks love-song clich?s and Michael Jackson, covers CCR and Van Halen, and gets drunk on "Jesus and Tequila"--all of it brought to life by the jazzy, popping bass of Mike Watt; the rifle-shot fills of drummer George Hurley, and the staccato guitar and impassioned cries of the late D.
