Music Review: A solid collection of hardcore music

Mike Vallely shouts words of inspiration and perseverance over the blistering rhythms and guitar riffs of The Rats. Make no mistake about it--this is hardcore punk rock in the vein of Black Flag and Minor Threat. Likewise, Mike doesn't pull his punches, calling out the meatheaded and inebriated, the ignorant and the myopic. Yet, through it all, this disc celebrates youthfulness and innocence.
