Music Review: Not His Best, But Certainly Worth Getting

I have been a Giacchino fan since the day I purchased The Incredibles. After I saw the movie, I knew I had to get the music. His work on Speed Racer revives the classic theme while giving it a fresh yet familiar and exciting approach. The tracks contain 'adventure' pieces that are actually interesting to listen to, and beautiful swelling strings with a choir. The last 3 tracks, 18-20, are the best, reviving the Speed Racer Theme and mixing in other Giacchino flavors. GET THIS MUSIC!

Description of Speed Racer

Speed Racer marks the Wachowski brothers' first writing/directing collaboration since The Matrix movies. The film stars Emile Hirsch (Alpha Dog) as Speed, Christina Ricci (Black Snake Moan) as Trixie, Matthew Fox (Lost) as Racer X, and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking) and John Goodman (Evan Almighty) as Mom and Pops Racer.

The adrenaline rush of a score was composed by Michael Giacchino and is sure to be one of the most exciting releases of the summer.
