Music Review: Michael Ball sounds mellow

This CD of Michael Ball singing Burt Bacharach songs surprised me a little. I bought it because I liked Bill Hayes LP in the 70's, THE LOOK OF LOVE. Michael Ball, of whom I have been a fan since I saw the 10th Anniversary Concert of Les Miz, had a completely different interpretation of the song, THE LOOK OF LOVE. Michael's is more quiet and mellow. There is room for both styles. The other songs on the CD are very nice. If you like Burt Bacharach, you will enoy this CD. If anyone hears of Bill Hayes making a CD with the LOOK OF LOVE on it, I would like to know. Thank you.Music Review: Michael Shines! Yes! That Voice!

Michael Ball has released a Beautiful, Lushious, Divine, and vocally perfect recording here on Back to Bacharach.. The first note out of his mouth to the last, is simply flawless. The man just can do no wrong. Blessed with a talent of inhabiting a song, he is in his finest voice to date.. Emotion and Diction .. all part of telling the story in song ,is Michael's forte!! The material was a great departure for him and I would recomend repeat listenings.. Brilliant work Michael.. Bravo!! PLEASE COME TO THE STATES FOR A TOUR..Music Review: Delicious Ear Candy

Need I say more - the perfect combo - the amazing voice, the impeccable phrasing, the perfect elocution - all add up to an aural delight.
Yep, I love Michael but must say he does better than expected on this CD.
