Music Review: A Little Ballad Heavy.

Given the title, "I'm in Love," one would naturally expect ballads, but this is just a little TOO ballad heavy throughout. The best cuts, however, are "Love and Kisses," the title cut and "I Can't Complain" with Freddie Jackson. There was also a remix done on the title cut which was called "I'm in Love" (Hot Summer Mix), which picked up the tempo x 2 and which was only issued as a promo to Radio. It finds Miss Melba trading rap verses with Kashif and it's effective and cute. The rest of the lot is pretty generic and seems to fall flat unlike her earlier releases, "A Lot of Love," "Read My Lips," "Never Say Never, "The Other Side of the Rainbow" or "What A Woman Needs."
