Includes the first release of the world-premiere live recording of Previn's double concerto for violin and contrabass featuring Anne-Sophie Mutter. In addition to Previn's compositions, the set includes works by Ravel, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Korngold and Richard Strauss. With chamber music, orchestral works, opera and song--this celebratory box set pays homage to one of the 20th century's most important musicians.
