Music Review: Even Marvin angry at his Ex-wife makes great music!!

Marvin Gaye originally planned to make "Here, My Dear" as a poison pen letter to his soon to be ex-wife, Anna Gordy Gaye, who is also Berry Gordy's sister, so you can imagine that was a very interesting relationship between all 3 people, to say the least!! Despite the anger he felt towards Anna Gaye, he decided to make a quality album, which would show all the joys, sorrows, and pain he felt during his marriage to her. What emerges is something that is intense, awkward for all the honesty that he puts on the record, and touching, because despite the anger he felt towards Anna Gaye, he still loved her, but it was time to move on. Ironically, the person he got married after to after divorcing Anna Gaye would soon divorce him within a few years afterwards.
And, everyone knows the awful fate that Marvin Gaye had when he was killed by his own Father on April 1, 1984.
The expanded edition of the album has other features that isn't on the original album, and actually adds more depth to and amazing piece of art and music. Worth the purchase to own.
Description of Here, My Dear
2008 two CD deluxe edition of the 1978 album, which was a deeply personal chronicle of his divorce from Anna Gordy. Though at the time it received mixed reviews, the album has since become recognized as a highly influential masterpiece of romantic anguish. Both Rolling Stone and Mojo magazines recently named it one of the best albums of all time. This expanded edition features the remastered original album, plus a complete alternate version of it featuring demo vocals and newly discovered instrumentation. For this unique project, the alternate version was created by a group of select artists and producers, who were asked not to overdub anything but to work only with the original multi-track session reels. These gentlemen delivered a breathtaking new vision of what Marvin put on tape. Their mixes illuminate the sketchbooks that produced a masterpiece. A bonus track rounds out each disc: This extraordinary collection is housed in a deluxe digipak with a 28-page booklet, packed with memorabilia, full lyrics, an essay by Gaye biographer David Ritz, and sidebar essays on the controversial cover and the creation of this edition.General CDs
